A camisole, sometimes called a cami, is an article of clothing that can be worn both as an undergarment or an exposed top under a suit jacket or low cut top. It is a sleeveless top, generally with spaghetti straps or thin strips to hold it in place. Camisoles usually cover the entire upper body from chest to waist, but can be cropped, exposing the midriff in a sexy way. This type of camisole should only be worn by those with a fit stomach. They can be made from a variety of materials including satin or silk, or nylon or spandex. Cotton is, however, the most common material used in making camisoles. Most that are made as pajamas or outerwear are made of cotton.

Camisoles can be worn alone or with a bra. Some have built in bra’s. Larger sizes may even include a built-in underwire bra. These are the ones usually worn alone or under a tank type top.

1. If you regularly wear a suit to the office, try wearing a camisole instead of a blouse underneath your suit. You will find that your feminine appeal will increase significantly.
2. Lace combined with demin is always a sexy twist to the everyday look. Try a lacy camisole over a nice pair of denim jeans or a denim skirt the next time you go out for an evening.
3. For a different look, try wearing two camisoles layered one over the other. The key to doing this successfully is to find two very similar camisoles: ones that have the same types of straps, and necklines. You should only have a hint of the one underneath showing. You also want to try to pick contrasting, yet complimentary colors.
4. If you cannot wear a camisole with a bra built into it, be sure to wear a strapless bra under it so that you have complete coverage.
5. Don’t overdo it. A silky camisole with pajama bottoms or a silky skirt is overkill. You never want to have too much lingerie showing. Your camisole should only hint at your lingerie under your clothes.
6. If you have a large bust, you should never choose a revealing camisole. There are many tank tops available that have a lacy feminine look that would be much more appropriate. Choose one with thick straps that will support your large bustline.
7. Wearing a camisole will leave your neckline empty. You need to fill that in with dainty feminine chains or a small pendant.

Camisoles, when worn correctly are the perfect addition to any woman’s wardrobe, especially if she is going for a feminine sexy look. The trick is to know how to wear it effectively. Choosing the right color, size, and style along with the right support underneath it will easily give you the look you want.
